Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a Celebrant?
A Celebrant is an individual whom will host a personal ceremony outside of a church setting, and must not be confused with a registrar or humanist.
  • Where can a Celebrant work?
A Celebrant can work anywhere! For example: a Wedding could be hosted outside, however, for the ceremony to become 'legal' a marriage will need to take place with a registrar present. We work in Grade II listed buildings, woodlands, crematoriums, beaches, even in the air! - anywhere you would like your ceremony to take place.
  • Why would I want a Celebrant to take my ceremony?
A Celebrant has the freedom to create a bespoke and unique ceremony to you. Whether that be creating a beautiful eulogy in memory of a special person, a stunning tale of your love story at a wedding or the birth of a precious child you would like to name. Everything contained within your ceremony is personalised and has the power to create an unforgettable moment in your life.
